Light activated therapies
LightOx develops fluorescent drugs that are capable of targeting selected cell types and killing them on illumination with light. The technology will initially be used to target cancers in the Head & Neck and skin diseases.
LightOx also has a range of fluorescent probes that are available to researchers to use in imaging at the cellular and subcellular levels. The probes enable cell imaging, detection, tracking and tagging of bioactive molecules. LightOx is also developing equipment for the controlled delivery of light in cell assays for the life science markets.
