The Aptamer Group is a young York (UK) based biotechnology company specialized in the development of nucleic acid aptamers, (‘synthetic anti-bodies’) for various applications within the Life Sciences.
Aptamers are oligonucleotides which are designed to specifically bind to a target of interest. The Aptamer Group has successfully isolated and optimized aptamers against targets ranging from small molecules, to peptides and proteins; even against complex systems such as viruses, whole cells and tissues.
